Welcome to Solitude Ski Resort & the adventures of Powderhorn210

Our family enjoys Big Cottonwood Canyon and the solitude of Solitude so much that we became owners at Solitude village in 2010. This blog will share our adventures, activities and suggestions for any of you that want to come get away at Solitude.

Silver Fork/Honeycomb Canyon

We hiked with Gliness, Solitude's event coordinator, down to Silver Fork. From there we broke off and hiked up through the Silverfork cabins to the old "Edwards" cabin. From there we continued on up the hill (not really on a trail) to the old Baptist Church. Up, in back of the church, we picked up the trail to head into Honeycomb Canyon. On this hike, we didn't really stay on groomed trails. We did some trails, some rough brush and some snowcat tracks. Really pretty hike that wasn't too hard except in some of the rough areas.

Goal for the future: hike to the top of Honeycomb Canyon.
