This is our first time up this year. Utah had very high and unusual amounts of snow this year - Snowbird even had skiing on July 4 - so we had not ventured up this year (plus ridiculously busy schedules at home). So, today is our first trip up. It is BEAUTIFUL! All the grasses/meadows are very green! It is like spring is just happening up here though it is July 15. You can't beat the fresh smell here either.
We did notice on the drive up the canyon that the winter was hard on the trees and rocks. Lots of evidence of rock slides and trees that didn't survive the harsh winter. But up at Solitude it is beautiful.
